Indian Air Force AH-64 Apache helicopter makes emergency landing in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur. The helicopter had taken off from the Pathankot army base and due to some technical glitch it had landed in the Budhwar village fields.
- Both the pilots and the helicopter are safe and there was no damage to the village.
- Apache helicopter of the Indian Air Force made an emergency landing in a Hoshiyarpur village after developing a technical fault.
- Indian Air Force (IAF) AH-64 Apache attack helicopter made a precautionary landing in a field in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district on Friday (April 17) after warning alert in its control panels,” the Indian Air Force said in its statement.
- The Air Force will check the helicopter and then take it back to its base.
- The US-made Apache AH-64E attack helicopters were inducted into the Indian Air Force last year. The AH-64E Apache is one of the world’s most advanced multi-role combat helicopters.
- This is the first incident involving the latest helicopters imported by the IAF from the United States.
